The Mercury Travel Club, by Helen Bridgett is a delightful read. As this is Helen's debut novel, I am looking forward to reading more of her books in the future. A romantic comedy, the book is a happy, feel-good novel about second chances.
After nearly 25 years of marriage Angie Shepherd is now divorced and trying her best to move forward. She steps out of her comfort zone in every way - going out on dates, taking classes, etc. She also begins to move toward her dream of being successful in her career. She starts The Mercury Travel Club as she is starting her life again. Her new business venture brings adventure and surprise to Angie's life, as she works to move forward from her divorce and find happiness. By simply following her heart, Angie begins to heal and her friends begin to take notice (wanting to find their calling/passion in life just like they think Angie is doing).
Helen Bridgett is a talented writer. The Mercury Travel Club is an enjoyable read that will put a smile on your face and make you laugh at times, too.
If you enjoy fiction books about living your life to the fullest and moving forward after difficult times, you will certainly be entertained and satisfied with The Mercury Travel Club.
