Aspire: Discovering Your Purpose Through the Power of Words, by Kevin Hall is a terrific book! As someone who loves quotes, books, song lyrics...and words in general, this book was very enjoyable. I found myself highlighting frequently. It is not solely of book containing the true meaning of words (and where they originate from), it is full of inspirational stories of how words influence our behaviors and decisions. I cannot recommend this book enough. I will be reading it again, as I feel there is so much to gain from the words between the covers of Hall's book.

A few of my favorite parts in the book include:
* "Used correctly and positively, words are the first building blocks for success and inner peace; they provide the vision and focus that show the way to growth and contribution."

* "Inspire" means to breathe life into another's dreams (I love this!)

* "We often receive what we desire for others."

* Kevin shares a heartwarming story of how he came to learn the meaning of the word Genshai (which means "...you should never treat a person in a manner that would make them feel small."

*We have the freedom, Hall writes: "...to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."

*"Words are like passwords. They unlock the power. They open the door." (One of my favorite lines in the book!!!)

*On the power of perception Hall writes: "When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change."

There are so many GREAT lines in this book, as well as wonderful stories. Hall met a man he refers to as "The Master of Words" and in each chapter he shares a story of one of his visits with him. I looked forward to reading the book each night and I highly recommend it!
