Buy Robert Skuce's Book, Kiss of Death: Amazon

I recently enjoyed an interview with author Robert Skuce, author of Kiss of Death (set to release March 1, 2017). Robert's author bio shares: "After dabbling in different genres, he found himself at home as a thriller/crime writer. A man, who was born and raised in Eastern Ontario, Canada, in a small town, he decided to try his hand at creative novel writing. Turned out, he loved it and kept writing to improve his craft and is now the writer he is today. He enjoys a good mystery and once in a while he likes to go back to horror when it was simpler and less complicated then you find in this day and age.

Currently living in Southern Ontario with his wife and four kids, he enjoys long walks, time with his family and lazy afternoons getting caught up on television. He loves playing with computers and is the household personal IT technician. When he goes out, you can find him exploring the different restaurants his city has to offer and driving in the country side. He is always looking for new places to be the basis of his books. He photographs abandoned buildings and unique parts of town in order to create a sense of realism in his books.

Filled with ideas and personalities that are unique, he is always coming up with a new and twist-filled story that will make its way to the pages everyone can enjoy. Captivating his readers with the difficulty in his books and leaving them trying to figure out who did it, will make you want to keep reading to see what Robert Skuce will come up with next!

Tell us a little about yourself...
I am a great dreamer and chaser of waterfalls and sunsets. I spend my life chasing dreams. It makes life interesting and the greatest accomplishments in life are dreams that you can realize.

When did you know you wanted to be a writer?
I think I have always wanted to be a writer. It just took me a long time to get the courage to chase that dream.

Can you share your journey to becoming a published author?
My journey started off with the dream of writing one good book. I had no dream of writing a best seller just write one good book. My first book wasn’t the book I wanted to write so I wrote a second book then I became addicted to the feeling of putting the images in my mind on paper.

What do you find to be the biggest challenge, as an author?
The greatest challenge that I currently have is time. I find inspiration everywhere and never run out of ideas, but getting enough time to write them all down is a challenge.

What do you find most rewarding, as an author?
The most rewarding part of writing is seeing your ideas on paper and discovering that fans liked the result.

Share with us a daily habit of yours, that helps you reach your goals.
I dream a little each day and try and catch those dreams.

What is one piece of advice you would share with an aspiring author?
Write the book that you want to read. Writing can be rewarding and exciting if each page you write makes you want to write the next one.

Finish these sentences:

I am most grateful for... my family

If I could give my 18 year-old self one piece of advice it would be... do not fear dreams chase them

My favorite thing about being a writer is... the images my heart sees I get to share with the world

My least favorite thing about being a writer is... writers block

My goals for the future are... to enjoy life and chase dreams

I love living a creative life because... you can always find a sunset

The last book I read was... Cogan’s Trade

My favorite book, ever, is... The Deepest Sea

Outside of writing, my favorite hobby is... traveling the world

The most important thing to do if you want to achieve your goals is... dream big and apply action because it’s what makes a dream a goal

A few more questions...

Do you have any New Years Resolutions for 2017?
Just to keep writing the kind of books I like to read

Tell us about your books
My books are crime thrillers. Basically I love taking unique people and twisting their lives until the ending is so shocking that even I am surprised at the end.

Where can readers find you (i.e. website, social media, etc.)?
My newsletter is filled with updates on pretty much every aspect of my books from sneak peaks about upcoming books, contests that are only available to fans who subscribe to my books as well as much more. There’s also links to all my social media plus fans can just email me.
